Great vegetarian soul food! The collard greens are so tastey and the potatoes have a unique flavor! Everything is vegetarian which is amazing and the service here is fantastic. The people who work here are so lovely and eager to help. The prices are also reasonable and ordering is quick and easy. The atmosphere is very nice and good for families or groups

Love, love, love this vegan restaurant!!! Food is great and I know it's truly 100% vegan. Not cooked the da.e area where meat was cooked just to get your money. They really care about your well-being. The rest of the complex has a hair and barber shop, a clothing store, a book store, a juice bar which is just awesome, and a banquet hall you can rent out and it holds interesting learning classes on Sundays and Wednesdays. Check in out.

Wasn't prepared to see the set up so I was reluctant to order a full meal. I did get to sample my husband's food. Lasaguna, greens, mac n cheese, cornbread. All very good. Spices that were unique so better than other vegan soul food places. I had the split pea soup and that was good also, but it wasn't especially unique. Staff nice but service was slow. I would go back and get a full plate.

The food was good. I enjoyed the chickpeas and black-eyed peas with rice, mac n cheeze, and cornbread. Service was good. This Soul Vegetarian is very different from #2. It is basically like cafeteria/buffet-style, but served over the counter, almost like a deli. The choices are limited, but this set-up makes for faster service, which is the only advantage this location has over #2. As I said, the food was good, but we were disappointed that there wasn't a choice of kale bone or country baked steak or any of those items as you would be able to order from Soul Vegetarian #2. Also, the salad was cold, which is unlike what we had at #2. The restaurant was very hot. I saw fans, but felt no air conditioner at all. Overall, this might have worked out better if I had called ahead and knew what to expect.

I’m from out of town and found this place. They didn’t have many main courses available at the time when I went. Everything had soy in it which is cool because it says vegetarian but ok the menu it says all dishes are vegan. I tasted the Mac and cheese before I got it. Taste test was good but a whole plate or spoon full of it wasn’t. The collard greens where good. The cornbread wasn’t all of that and I thought the sweet potato’s could have used some more seasoning. Been to other soul vegan places and the cornbread and yams are way better. They customer service was good. But just didn’t enjoy the food. Yes I am fully vegan
